. . . and at the end of the day . . .
Our greetings to you on this, the first day of spring, March 20, 2018. Did you know it for what it was, wherever you are, that moment, that monumental, defining moment at exactly 11:15 (CDT) this morning when it happened? Here, well, it was snowing. Yes, our spring is . . . different. Still - don't cry for me, Argentina. Because different can be good, if you are open to it. I figured it out this past Saturday, knee-deep in slush, watching a nesting pair of eagles, when my companion reports that, "this is awesome." And a day earlier two members of the Ray's Variety Work/Life Balance Committee reported that spring is "awesome" because the snow packs "real good" and you can "dig tunnels. " And so it is that at 11:15 this morning I took a break from cleaning up after our last project to catch a nesting pair of cardinals at the bird feeder. In the snow. And I reported to myself, "this is awesome."
Have a great spring.
Have a great spring.
